First Hike - 1980 with Bonnie to Bright Angel and Cottonwood. Next Hike - June 2000 Deer Creek/Tapeats with daughter and some of her high school friends as a graduation trip. Then Boucher/Bright Angel loop with alumni and friends. Other Hikes: Corridor (8), Hermit Creek/Bright Angel Loop (2), Clear Creek, South Bass/Royal Arch Loop, Nankoweap, Clear Creek, Phantom/Trinity Loop, Tiyo/Crystal Creek, Cranberry/Indian Hollow Loop, Tapeats/Deer Creek (5), Grandview/Bright Angel Loop, Corridor/Phantom Canyon (2) Other Outdoor Related Experience: I grew up in southeastern Ohio along the border of the Ohio River and Wayne National Forest. Much of my time was involved in tromping through the woods and swimming in the river. From the age of 10 we used to carry stuff into the woods (sleep out as we said then) 2-3 nights a week during the summer. This ignited my interest in the outdoors. Other Trips: Smoky Mts. (5), Rocky Mountain National Park, Sierra Nevadas, White Mountains (NH), BWCA, Big Horn Mountains(2), Porcupine Mountains (7).
