The Second Grand Canyon Hikers Symposium will be held Saturday October 20, 2007 at the Shrine of the Ages in the Grand Canyon National Park, South Rim Village. The symposium is open to the public free of charge. The purpose of this symposium is to share hiking, climbing and backpacking exploits and explorations in the Grand Canyon, as defined by the geographical region from Lee's Ferry to the Grand Wash Cliffs, rim to rim. The presentations will include day hikes, climbs and overnight backpacks on the corridor trails and surrounding area, historical trails such as the North and South Bass, Tanner, Grand View and any number of Grand Canyon routes. It will be similar in format to the 2006 Hikers Symposium. You can also view video clips of the 2006 Symposium .
