Backcountry Plan Review Now Online

Grand Canyon National Park is considering new rules to govern backcountry activities in the park. These changes will affect everyone who hikes, backpacks, canyoneers, climbs, camps, or otherwise engages in outdoor recreation within the backcountry of Grand Canyon.  A public comment period extends through March 4, 2016.

To help you get a grasp of the 618-page Draft Environmental Impact Statement, a special committee of GCHBA members has reviewed and summarized some of the key issues.  Read all about it here.
